Introduction to Learning Module ILIAS Presentation

ILIAS has an integrated authoring tool with which instructors can create ILIAS learning modules (web-based training) and make them available to learners.

As a learner, learning content is presented to you in a self-contained unit. Learning modules are learning units containing texts and/or multimedia content such as images, audio, or video contributions. Files for download or links can also be integrated. In addition, different types of questions can also be integrated, where an evaluation and feedback are automatically displayed.

If the teacher/administrator activates the corresponding functions, there is a print view and an export function so that you can also engage with the learning module offline.

Depending on the author's settings, an ILIAS learning module can have different screen layouts (e.g., with or without an outline or one or more windows) and navigation elements.

Language versions of a learning module

An ILIAS learning module can be set up in a way that there are several language versions. The learning module will automatically be displayed in your selected user language. If there is no version for this language, the learning module will be displayed in the language the author has set as a default language.

In an ILIAS learning module, you have different possibilities to navigate. The author of the learning module decides in the settings which of the following options are available to you:
