Summary of Activities

Dashboard introduction

Your work with ILIAS usually starts on the Dashboard. In the middle of it, by default, there is a block called Favorites or My Courses and Groups.

You can perform various actions and view information from your Dashboard. These are displayed in small blocks on the right side of the screen:

  • Calendar: view and manage your own appointments
  • News: news from the displayed objects
  • To-Dos: tasks to be completed
  • Mail: Unread emails

Note: Depending on the settings of your ILIAS administrator, not all blocks may be available.

You want to display appointments differently in the Calendar block.

  1. Open Dashboard
  2. In the upper section of the Calendar block, click the drop-down menu on the right.

Month: Shows a graphical overview of the current calendar month.
  4. ILIAS will display your preferred view.

Note: Clicking on an appointment, date, calendar week, or month will load a calendar dialog box. Appointments can then be edited, deleted, or newly added.

Sync appointments in Outlook or Google calendar

ILIAS can transfer appointments to your external calendars, such as Outlook or Google calendar. Then all existing and future ILIAS appointments will be synchronized into this external calendar.

  3. ILIAS displays the iCal URL in a modal dialog.
