Public comments
Comments - Introduction
You can annotate learning content. In ILIAS, you can make two different types of annotations:
Private notes can only be viewed by yourself. Use private notes to:
- make a digital dog-ear of the content and quickly find your way back to the marked points.
- Write out the most important points of the content. Your notes will support your exam preparation. You can print and export them.
Other visitors can read public comments about the installation. Use Public Comments to:
- Ask questions about the content of a page or assignment.
- express your opinion about learning content.
- coordinate with your team during group work.
The lists of notes and comments that you have attached to objects are displayed in bundles.
- Under Communication > Comments, all objects are listed in which you have left comments. All other comments on this object are then also displayed to you. This list of public comments shows you how a discussion on content has developed.
- Under Personal Workspace > Notes, all objects are listed in which you have added private notes.
Note: The comments must be activated for a platform. The comments are not available to you? Click on Contact Technical Support at the bottom of the page. ILIAS shows the business card of the administration. Click on Send mail. ILIAS opens a mail form: Ask for comments to be activated under Administration > Communication > Comments.
