Data protection of the personal profile

Course and group administrators have access to members' data.

  1. Open Administration > Accounts and roles > Data protection and server security. 
  2. Select privacy-related settings regarding access to account data, user agreement, display of last access time.
  3. Click Save.

Note: If users in any courses of the ILIAS installation have already agreed to the user agreement there, these user agreements will be reset when the settings are changed.

Proceed as follows to determine which of the data fields will be available for course and group administrators:

  1. Open Administration > Accounts and roles > ILIAS accounts > Settings > Default fields. 
  2. Activate the Visible in course participant administration or group participant administration checkboxes for each field that you want to make available.
  3. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Note: If you are working with local accounts, you can also specify here which of the data fields are accessible to people who manage local accounts and can possibly also be edited (options Visible... or Modifiable in local accounts).
